LYNCHBURG, Va. – A Lynchburg art exhibit has raised more than $11,000 to make a difference in the lives of those impacted by the Russia-Ukraine war.
‘Sunflowers for Ukraine,’ which was put on display at Riverviews Artspace, had more than 150 people donate more than 200 pieces of artwork.
From jewelry to visual art, the array of bright sunflowers generated an outpouring of community support, something Riverviews Artspace is incredibly thankful for.
“Thank you to all who participated in our installation, whether it be through donating artwork, purchasing artwork, donating to the cause or simply visiting the gallery. Together we made a difference!” the arts organization said in a Facebook post.
The money will go toward Ukrainian relief organizations, World Central Kitchen and Save the Children.
