The City of Roanoke is slated to swear in its new City Manager, Valmarie H. Turner, on Monday at 10 a.m. (WSLS)
ROANOKE, Va. – The City of Roanoke has sworn in its new City Manager, Valmarie H. Turner.
Turner comes to the Star City with more than 30 years of experience and an uncompromising commitment to community engagement, strategic leadership and innovation.
During Monday’s ceremony, Valmarie delivered remarks and delved more into her vision for Roanoke.
Turner hopes to address challenges centered around affordable housing, homelessness and economic development.
She will succeed Bob Cowell, who announced his resignation in June.
