MLK Parade in Lexington canceled due to weather conditions

LEXINGTON, Va. – The 9th Annual CARE Rockbridge MLK Community Parade planned for Monday in Lexington has been canceled due to weather conditions, CARE Rockbridge said.

CARE President Reginald A. Early and CARE Vice President Robin LeBlanc were told about safety concerns regarding the freezing temperatures that will be hitting Virginia.

LeBlanc also stated that the planned CARE Reading in Color reading room will still be happening from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. in Washington and Lee’s Early-Fielding Hall, Room 109 on Washington Street.
