52-year-old in critical condition after road rage incident, Danville Police Dept. investigating

DANVILLE, Va. – A 52-year-old man is in critical condition after an apparent road rage incident that occurred at 4:45 p.m. in Danville Monday, according to DPD.

According to Danville Police, officers responded to a report of someone lying in the roadway of the 3400 block of Riverside Drive.

The 52-year-old man was transported to the hospital and authorities say that the other driver involved in the incident, a 26-year-old man, went to the Danville Police Department on his own and provided a statement to investigators.

In consultation with the Danville Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney, no charges have been filed at this time and the incident remains under investigation.
