After the meeting some property owners say they still have questions they want answered but one thing for sure, they don't want the pipeline in their backyard.

Others who oppose the pipeline say not only will affect the environment, they believe it will not create local jobs.

"Nobody wants this. There are signs all over the place, nobody wants this, it's not safe," said Kenneth J. Hildebrandt who lives in Pittslyvania County.

Mountain Valley Pipeline representatives say there are benefits.

They sited a study conducted by FTI Consulting, money spent on equipment, materials labor and services reaching almost $400 million.

The study also showed 4,300 jobs would be created at the peak of construction in 2018. Mountain Valley Pipeline workers say the goal is to get people the right information.

"A lot of times once we ask them to ask the questions and talk with us and give them a better understanding of the safety, that natural gas pipelines are really truly safe, they are the safest form of energy transportation in the U.S.," said Natalie Cox, Mountain Valley Pipeline.
