ROANOKE (WSLS 10) – A shooting in Roanoke Tuesday morning left a cab driver injured.
The shooting happened shortly before 5 a.m. The driver told police he was shot in an alley near the 2700 block of 10th Street. That's between Hillcrest Ave NW and Roundhill Ave NW, about a block from Wiliamson Road.

The victim said he drove to a convenience store and called police for help.
The driver, a man in his 50s from Vinton, was shot in the buttocks or side. He was in the hospital recovering Tuesday afternoon.
The suspects were vaguely described as four black males, ages believed to be between 18 to early 20s. They left with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The driver picked the guys up from another location and dropped them off at the 27 hundred block of 10th street when he was shot. The cab driver was in the car when he was shot.
