Officials are on the scene of a Roanoke City School bus crash at the intersection of 220 Southbound and Naff Road.

If you’ve traveled on U.S. 220 or Route 419 near Tanglewood in South Roanoke County, you’re likely familiar with how congested those corridors can get.

Routes 220 and and Route 419 are two of the busiest corridors in our region. VDOT says some major improvements are coming that are meant to reduce congestion and improve safety.

Drivers heading south on 220 through Franklin County can expect delays due to a crash, according to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the Botetourt County Sheriff’s Office, all fire units have cleared the scene.
