Late Iowa man linked to 1980s killings in Indiana, Kentucky
The Indiana State Police say they used genealogical data and crime scene evidence to link an Iowa man who died in 2013 to the killings of three female motel clerks and sexual assault of a fourth in Indiana and Kentucky from 1987 through 1990.
Roanoke Days Inn fire now being investigated as arson
ROANOKE, Va. โ The Saturday night fire that forced dozens to evacuated is being investigated as arson, according to Roanoke Fire-EMS. Officials say the fire caused about $100,000 worth of damage to the Days Inn on Orange Avenue NE. ORIGINAL STORYDozens of people were evacuated after a fire at a Roanoke hotel Saturday night. At 11:41 p.m., authorities said Roanoke Fire-EMS was dispatched to the 600 block of Orange Ave NE for a fire at a Days Inn. According to firefighters, crews arrived to find smoke coming from the three-story building and had to go door-to-door to make sure everyone escaped.
