Christiansburg man donates $10,000 of lottery winnings to animal shelter
This Christmas, the Montgomery County Animal Care and Adoption Center got a very special gift. โWe had an amazing donor donate $10,000,โ said shelter director Eileen Mahan. โThe amount of generosity...it just takes your breath away.โShe said itโs the biggest donation the shelter has ever received. โSo it just makes everything better.โThe couple that donated the money won a $1 million lottery ticket. โIt is definitely the best Christmas gift these animals can get, I guess short of a new home,โ said Mahan.
