The Appomattox County Sheriff’s Office was conducting an investigation into a missing persons cold case Wednesday and found human remains during the investigation, according to ACSO.

An investigation is underway after human remains were found in a Roanoke yard, according to the Roanoke Police Department.

The discovery was made Tuesday, according to the Sheriff’s Office

Human remains that were found on the campus of Hollins University back in February were identified as a woman missing out of Salem, according to the Roanoke County Police Department.
