Ferrum Panthers carrying strong leadership into 2019 season
FERRUM, Va.- - The Ferrum College Panthers are looking to make a statement in 2019 in year four for head coach Rob Grande. Last season, the team had a 5-5 finish, but this year has more emphasis on the pass game and strong leadership on all fronts. "Obviously we've been more run the last couple years with Brian (Mann) back there," quarterback Zack Clifford said. "We've been able to run it when people know we're going to run it," Grande said. The Panthers will open their season on the road at Greensboro on Sept. 14.
Ferrum football loaded with local talent, ready for second season under Grande
FERRUM, Va. โ At fall football practice, the sun beats down on a Ferrum program that's just warming up. The Panthers went 6-4 a year ago and in his second year at the helm, coach Rob Grande is ready to build off a solid first season. That set a tone I think in the second year," Grande said. There are big moves ahead for Ferrum as it joins the ODAC next season, but the Panthers aren't looking too far ahead. Just aiming to do well in their final season playing in the USA South.
