Folks from all over came out to the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Our region is full of military families and the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery was recognized for their work to keep the cemetery looking its best for the families visiting.

American Flags will be placed at each grave by volunteers, and flags will line the driveway around the cemetery.

There will be a number of events held throughout the Commonwealth on Monday as thousands come together to remember and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country.
