Lynchburg pastor Jonathan Falwell says he has COVID-19, is asymptomatic
LYNCHBURG, Va. – Jonathan Falwell, a Lynchburg pastor and brother of Jerry Falwell Jr., announced Thursday he has tested positive for COVID-19. Falwell, who currently serves as senior pastor of Thomas Road Baptist Church, said he doesn’t have any symptoms. Falwell said he got tested after spending time around a family member who later tested positive.

House said Falwell must repent for his words and that Falwell’s tweets upset him not only as a black man, but as a Christian.
As Virginia reopens, some churches choose to wait a little longer
ROANOKE, Va. While much of the state began to reopen Friday, many churches in southwest Virginia choose to wait a little longer. Thomas Road Baptist Church in Lynchburg is planning to open on May 24. CommUNITY Church in Salem will open on May 31 with several changes as well.
