Residents pounded by unusually vicious weather across parts of the U.S. are surveying damage from violent tornadoes, high winds and blinding dust storms. A massive storm has decimated homes and other structures and left at least 35 people dead since Friday. National Weather Service meteorologist Cody Snell says tornado watches remained in effect Sunday morning for portions of the Carolinas, east Georgia and northern Florida. He says the main threat would be damaging winds, but there is the possibility of more tornadoes.

DANVILLE, Va. – Help is on the way from Southwest Virginia to people impacted by Sunday’s deadly tornadoes across the south. God’s Pit Crew in Danville sent a semi-truck full of relief supplies to Cleveland, Tennessee on Monday morning. On Tuesday, a semi-truck full of relief supplies from God’s Pit Crew’s satellite site in Dallas, Texas will head to Collins, Mississippi. “The big strain is having to be so restrictive with a number of volunteers we use at a time and trying to make sure they’re safe and healthy," God’s Pit Crew founder Randy Johnson said. COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Cookeville Regional Medical Center gave some good news to the victims of tornadoes that touched down in middle Tennessee on Tuesday, March 3. According to KY3, more than 80 patients, who were injured in the storms, were treated at Cookeville Regional Medical Center won’t be billed by the hospital, Gray-TV affiliate WVLT reports via the Herald Citizen. The hospital will reportedly bill the patients' insurance, but will write of the patient portion of the cost. The National Weather Service in Nashville says at least seven tornadoes hit middle Tennessee during a series of storms that killed 24 people and caused massive damage. – As of Tuesday night, the death toll from the storms in Middle Tennessee rose to 25 with still many reported missing. While surveying is still being conducted by the National Weather Service in Nashville, preliminary results were released Tuesday evening. At least EF-3 damage was observed in parts of the Music City and surrounding areas like Donelson and Mt. They’re still working to see if this was all one long-track tornado, or if there were indeed multiple. We know we have at least one EF-3 tornado that impacted the metro area early this morning.
