Roanoke City officials announced Tuesday that a lane will be closed at the intersection of Campbell Ave Southwest and 1st Street Southwest during the afternoon and evening on Wednesday, March 11 and overnight Thursday, March 12.
Motorists traveling through Virginia’s Staunton and Lynchburg transportation districts should prepare for multiple highway work zones and traffic impacts from July 7 through July 11, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Va. – 6:00 a.m. UpdateVDOT reports that all lanes are back open with delays lingering. Drivers traveling north on I-81 in Montgomery County can expect delays due to a vehicle fire at mile marker 124.8, according to VDOT. All north lanes are closed. Traffic is being rerouted off I-81 north at exit 118 onto US-460 then back onto I-81 at exit 128.

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. – UPDATE - Dec. 12 at 3:01 p.m.Virginia State Police are investigating a crash that happened on U.S. Route 220 in Franklin County late Saturday morning. At 11:25 a.m., police said they responded to a single-vehicle crash. Authorities said a Toyota Camry traveling on Route 220 ran off the road and overturned near Brookledge Lane. ORIGINAL STORYDrivers headed north should avoid part of U.S. 220 in Franklin County if they can. At about 11:40 a.m., a crash nearly nine miles north of VA-57 in Franklin County caused all northbound travel lanes to close as first responders are at the scene.

ROANOKE, Va. – According to Appalachian Power’s outage map, more than 1,700 customers in Roanoke are without power. Traffic lights are also out at a dozen intersections due to the power outage.
