Man on moped seriously injured in 3-vehicle crash in Lynchburg, police say

LYNCHBURG, Va.A man was seriously injured in a three-vehicle crash Thursday in Lynchburg, police said.

The Lynchburg Police Department, the Lynchburg Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services were called to the crash in the 1900 block of Grace Street around 3:20 p.m.

Police said Michael Bailey, 57, who was operating a moped, was taken to Lynchburg General Hospital to be treated for his injuries. He is listed in serious condition.

The conditions of two other people involved in the crash -- Joshua Horsley, 23, who was driving a Honda Civic, and Schrae Penn, 27, who was driving a Dodge Durango -- were not given.

 

Charges are pending as the investigation continues.
