Craig County Public Schools closed Friday, Aug. 24, due to high heat indexes

Craig County Public Schools will be closed on Aug. 25 (Friday), according to school officials.

The decision was made ahead of high temps expected across the region.

Leaders said there are construction projects impacting air conditioning, which is why they made the decision to close.
