ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. – UPDATE
The Roanoke County Police Department said traffic is flowing normally now, with one lane open on Route 220 southbound and both lanes open for northbound traffic.

Drivers are asked to avoid Route 220 at Starlight Lane in Roanoke County as police respond to the scene of a tree down in power lines.
At this time, all north and south lanes are closed, according to VDOT.
The Roanoke County Police Department is urging drivers to use caution while traveling and reported that there are several ice-covered trees and power lines down throughout the county.
As of 6 a.m., more than 9,500 people are without power in Roanoke County.
