RICHMOND, Va. – As of November 13, Virginia is now reporting 199,262 cases of the coronavirus across the commonwealth since March.

Friday’s total of 199,262 cases marks an increase from Thursday’s total of 198,027 cases.

Here is a breakdown of the 1,235 new coronavirus cases in Virginia:

  • 135 new cases in Fairfax County
  • 102 new cases in Prince William County
  • 39 new cases in Henrico County
  • 38 new cases in Virginia Beach and Culpeper County
  • 37 new cases in Richmond
  • 35 new cases in Frederick County
  • 33 new cases in Arlington County
  • 31 new cases in Montgomery County
  • 30 new cases in Roanoke County
  • 27 new cases in Chesterfield County and Chesapeake
  • 26 new cases in Wise County
  • 24 new cases in Alexandria
  • 22 new cases in Franklin County
  • 20 new cases Loudoun County and Roanoke
  • 18 new cases in Bedford County and Campbell County
  • 16 new cases in Hampton, Henry County and Pulaski County
  • 15 new cases in Winchester and Russell County
  • 14 new cases in Hanover County and Augusta County
  • 13 new cases in Washington County, Smyth County, Norfolk, Wythe County and Botetourt County
  • 12 new cases in Lynchburg and Tazewell County
  • 11 new cases in Newport News, Danville, Stafford County and Bristol
  • 10 new cases in Scott County, Fauquier County, Pittsylvania County, Prince George County, Rockingham County, Rockbridge County, Waynesboro, Harrisonburg and Staunton
  • 8 new cases in Suffolk and Carroll County
  • 7 new cases in Martinsville, James City County and Shenandoah County
  • 6 new cases in Lee County, Colonial Heights and Bland County
  • 5 new cases in Giles County, Salem, King George County, Petersburg, Warren County, York County and Buena Vista
  • 4 new cases in Spotsylvania County, Nottoway County, Grayson County, Patrick County, Caroline County, Richmond County, Dickenson County and Galax
  • 3 new cases in Halifax County, Page County, Accomack County, Covington, Manassas, Prince Edward County, Appomattox County, Madison County and Brunswick County
  • 2 new cases in Portsmouth, Orange County, Buchanan County, Hopewell, Amherst County, Clarke County, Bath County, Charlotte County, Poquoson and Essex County
  • 1 new case in Charlottesville, Powhatan County, Mecklenburg County, Westmoreland County, King William County, Isle of Wight County, Radford, Fredericksburg, Greene County, Sussex County, Greensville County, Fluvanna County, Mathews County, Southampton County, Dinwiddie County, Falls Church, Louisa County, Williamsburg, Nelson County, Buckingham County, Lancaster County and Middlesex County

As of Friday, the Virginia Dept. of Health reports there have been 3,099,913 total testing encounters.

The term “testing encounters” includes individuals who have been tested more than once due to their profession, high-risk status or need for a negative result to return to work. The health department started using this metric on May 1. To learn more, click here.
