Radford City dispatchers have a new system where they now have a standardized way of approaching medical emergency calls.

Without the classification as first responders, 911 dispatchers do not have the same access to benefits.

This week marks National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week to honor the work that 911 dispatchers do to keep the community safe.
