The Clinton facility — New Jersey's lone women's prison — has a “long, ugly history," Grewal said. Late on Jan. 11 and into the early hours of Jan. 12, about two dozen guards entered part of the prison and began to remove inmates, according to Grewal. AdOne victim was pepper sprayed before the team of guards entered her cell, according to Grewal. Several corrections officers at the prison have pleaded guilty or been convicted of sexual abuse and misconduct in recent years.

Wedding guests 'gang-tackled him'A 911 caller reported a man walked into the church and shot at the presiding bishop, the state attorney general's office said. Officers arrived at the church just after 10 a.m. Saturday, and found wedding guests had subdued the male suspect, Pelham Police Chief Joseph Roark said at a news conference. Other wedding guests were treated for minor injuries and nobody was killed, Roark said. A memorial service was scheduled to be held for Garcia, 60, at the same venue after the wedding.
One injured in shooting before a funeral at New Hampshire church
(Reuters) - At least one person was injured in a shooting at a church in Pelham, New Hampshire, on Saturday, where a funeral had been scheduled for a minister killed in a separate shooting earlier this month. The funeral of Luis Garcia had been due to take place at the church at noon. Garcia, who had been a minister at the church, was shot dead on Oct. 1 at a house in the nearby town of Londonderry. A man with a history of drug crimes was charged with the shooting and remains in custody. Earlier in the morning a community meeting about domestic abuse had been scheduled, according to the churchs website.
