Antonio Brown was kicked off the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after a bizarre, shirtless exit from the field before Tom Brady coolly led the Bucs on a 93-yard drive in the final minutes for a 28-24 victory over the New York Jets on Sunday. Orlando, which has lost 12 of 14, tried almost every guard on its roster against the 6-foot-1 VanVleet with little to no success. Texas A&M, North Carolina look forward, await Orange Bowl

Thing is, neither of those running backs — Michael Carter and Javonte Williams — chose to play in the Orange Bowl. “That’s 4,000 yards worth of offense and our leading tackler on defense and two captains,” North Carolina coach Mack Brown said. With them gone, it means even more pressure will be on North Carolina quarterback Sam Howell.

Hokies place two on All-ACC first team

Boston College, Miami, North Carolina and Pitt followed with seven selections each, and NC State had six. ACC leading rusher Michael Carter of North Carolina (1,245 yards/8.0 yards per carry) is the other first-team running back. Notre Dame tackle Liam Eichenberg, announced earlier Tuesday as the 2020 Jacobs Blocking Trophy winner, led the offensive line voting. Divine Deablo of Virginia Tech and Kyle Hamilton of Notre Dame were tabbed at the safety positions.
No. 20 UNC runs wild, rolls past No. 9 Miami 62-26
20 North Carolina embarrassed No. Sam Howell threw for a score, ran for a score and caught a TD pass for the Tar Heels. North Carolina scored on its first six possessions, a streak that was only stopped by the clock getting to halftime. And when those rankings are updated Tuesday night, the Tar Heels will more than likely jump the Hurricanes; Miami was No. 10 in those rankings this past week, seven spots clear of North Carolina.
Williams, Carter lead No. 14 UNC past No. 23 NC State 48-21

Hokies lose to Tar Heels 56-45
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The Virginia Tech Hokies lost to the North Carolina Tar Heels by a score of 56-45. The Tar Heels rushed for 399 total yards today. The Hokies showed their moves on the ground as well, as the team rushed for 264 total yards. Tar Heels Quarterback Sam Howell completed 18 of 23 passes for 257 yards and three touchdowns. The second of Hooker’s touchdowns took place late in the fourth quarter with a 26-yard completion to Wide Receiver James Mitchell.
Stadiums quiet but college football, shows of unity go on
