As families across Roanoke search for early learning options, the Kirk Family YMCA is expanding its childcare offerings with a new preschool program aimed at helping three-year-olds build foundational skills before entering kindergarten.

Board members acknowledged the emotional toll of the decisions ahead, with a final budget vote scheduled for June 9.

Moss Arts Center at Virginia Tech is collaborating with Giles County Public Schools to host Music Monday, an event designed for the county’s preschool students.

New River Community Action is helping to bridge the gap in the New River Valley, making preschool available to over 300 kids.

The open house is scheduled for Feb. 28 from 4:30 to 6:30PM at the Central Church of Christ in Bedford.

Along with providing information and giveaways, they unveiled their latest initiative, Gus the Learning Bus.
