BEDFORD (WSLS 10) - Organizers with the Bedford Christmas Station are asking for the public's help this holiday season.

Just as members were preparing to serve a record-setting number of families this year, budget stretched to the max, their fridge stopped working.

Organizers say the program really needs a fridge to store canned hams and other perishable items.

The Bedford Community Christmas Station began in March 2006, with local agencies, organizations, churches and businesses combining their resources into one program and location. The organization gives toys, clothes, household items and food to eligible families in need.

Anyone who may have a used fridge to donate, or has connections with appliance store that could donate a floor model is asked to call Karen Hughes at (540)-492-0382. You can also call (540)-589-0424. To visit their website, click here
