ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - Habitat for Humanity in the Roanoke Valley celebrated a major milestone while helping a local family.
The organization celebrated its 30th anniversary Saturday by holding a ceremonial wall raising for Demetri Martin and her family.
The family's future house will be one of Habitat's 30th anniversary homes.
Habitat for Humanity said since 1986, it has built 204 homes to completion and served more than 220 families.
Saturday's event also celebrated the 90th birthday of one of its key volunteers, who takes part in every home build Habitat has participated in.
