Roanoke police arrest three in connection to robbery and assault

ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - Roanoke police arrested three people they say were involved with a robbery that happened earlier this month.

On Friday June 10, at 10 p.m. police talked with Alan Carbajal-Mejia, who was being treated for a head wound at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Police determined that he was in his residence in the 1300 block of Buena Vista Blvd S.E. with a woman when two men then entered while she was there, assaulted Carbajal-Mejia and stole his phone.

Through their investigation, detectives identified the suspects as 19-year-old Allison Renee Karres, of Elliston, 19-year-old Jerry Lee Kerr III, of Elliston, and 20-year-old Brandon Tyler Saunders of Shawsville.

All three individuals have been charged with robbery, while Kerr and Saunders have additionally been charged with malicious wounding.
