Floyd County schools dismiss students early because of heat index

FLOYD COUNTY (WSLS10)-- Students at Floyd County schools will be dismissed early on Monday, August 15, because of the heat.

All outlying schools, including Check, Indian Valley and Willis Elementary Schools, will dismiss at 11:30 a.m.

Inlying schools, including Floyd Elementary and High Schools, will dismiss students at noon.
