The annual free tour of Floyd's artisans is this weekend with lectures/workshops, artists' studios, organic farms, pottery-making and woodworking demonstrations. Many tour sites will offer refreshments for sale such as chocolate, hand-dipped ice cream, wine and coffee tastings, and more. Bluegrass, old time music, and dancing will be featured at several tour sites as well. Tours are Friday through Sunday. The Floyd Artisan Trail June Tour is a free three-day event at over 40 sites across Floyd County VA and is hosted by the Floyd Center for the Arts.  For the full tour schedule, and a complete list of all the sites with maps, please visit www.FloydArtisanTrail.org.

Saturday from 10:00AM - 3:00PM Roanoke County's Explore Park will host the first of three Artisan Saturdays this year. It's free. There will be local artisans on hand to demonstrate a number of uniquely different crafts and skills like pottery, water color and jewelry making.

The Virginia Beer & Wine Festival is at the Daleville Town Center Saturday.... With more than 45 Virginia Breweries, Wineries and Cideries!  Local food trucks and live music will also be featured. 

The Annual Celebration at Claytor Lake State Park kicks off the summer season in Dublin.  This is the festival's 20th year.  There's a Car/Motorcycle Show, Antique Fire Trucks, Fishing Tournament and more. The festival begins at 10:00 a.m. and ends with fireworks at dusk.  Entry to the Festival is free, however there is a $10 parking fee or you may pay $5 and bring 5 cans of food.

The fourth annual Father's Day Fest will take place in Eureka Park in Roanoke Saturday from Noon to 3:00 p.m. This event is free and celebrates fatherhood. Local organizations will provide free food, games, music and other family oriented activities and information.

Riverside Park is now home to the Riverfront Park Concert Series. The Lynchburg Symphony Orchestra plays Saturday. This night of music, food, fun, and fireworks is sure to be a hit with the whole family. The concert is free and events run from 7 to 10:30 pm.

Roanoke International Mom's Initiative, a local grassroots organization that seeks to build an international, supportive community in Roanoke, is hosting "Cook Your Culture," a fundraiser that brings together members of the Roanoke community through food, on Saturday from 5 - 7:30 pm, at Community High School.  Members of the community will provide dishes that represent a piece of their culture. You can buy tickets ahead of time or at the door.
