ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. – An 8-year-old girl continues to recover after being shot late last month.
The Roanoke County Sheriff's Office has charged an 11-year-old boy with reckless handling of a firearm in connection with the Dec. 21 shooting.
The two are not related but do know each other, according to the Sheriff's Office.
Authorities originally said the girl was 7 when she is actually 8.
