Night to Shine participants receive free dresses, suits for prom event

ROANOKE, Va. – The Tim Tebow Foundation's Night to Shine, a prom for those with special needs, is coming to Roanoke in February, but on Friday, prom participants got a head start on getting ready for the big day.

Men and women of all ages who plan to attend Night to Shine were invited to North Roanoke Baptist Church to take their pick of suits and dresses. All of the clothes, shoes and jewelry were donated for the Dress and Suit Drive. And if you're planning on going to the event and missed out on Friday, you can stop by on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

"To see it all coming together and the guests coming in and truly feeling like a prince or a princess once they put these clothes on, it just warms your heart," said Diane Lane-Morris, coordinator of Night to Shine.

Organizers said they're expecting about 250 participants for the Feb. 9 event. If you would like to register someone to attend Night to Shine, click here.
