WATCH: Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam gives May 6 coronavirus update
Gov. Ralph Northam gave an update on the coronavirus in the commonwealth on Thursday morning.
The governor began speaking shortly after 11 a.m. and talked for about 45 minutes.
While speaking, he announced that Virginia is planning to allow 100% occupancy at businesses beginning June 15.

As of Thursday, Virginia is reporting 664,394 cases of the coronavirus across the commonwealth since March 2020.
Thursday’s news conference was his 21st briefing regarding COVID-19, and first since April 19 , since he ended his bi-weekly conferences back in June 2020 .
