Local breast cancer survivor shares ways you can get involved this month

ROANOKE, Va. – October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and 10 News spoke with one local survivor about her story.

According to the American Cancer Society, 276,000 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer year-to-year. On average, they estimate 42,000 women will die.

We spoke with our local chapter of the Susan G. Komen Foundation about awareness and advocacy.
