BOTETOURT COUNTY, Va. – 8:45 A.M. UPDATE
Traffic is backed up for about two miles after a tractor-trailer crash has closed all southbound lanes on I-81 in Botetourt County.

Authorities say all traffic is being detoured Exit 162.
Wagon 2 and Squad 2 are responding to a multiple vehicle accident at MM 158 Southbound (Rest Area). All lanes southbound are currently blocked.

A crash has closed all I-81 southbound lanes in Botetourt County, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.
Authorities say the crash happened around mile marker 158.
As of 7:39 a.m., all southbound lanes remain closed.
