Feeding Southwest Virginia in need of donations as gas prices rise

Food bank delivers food to those in need

SALEM, Va. – Feeding Southwest Virginia is asking for donations to keep fuel in their trucks so they can continue to deliver food to those in need.

The increase in gas prices has strained its transportation budget, one of the biggest expenses the food bank has.

Over the past four months, Feeding Southwest Virginia has driven more than 22,000 miles to deliver food and says the diesel fuel costs are 55% higher than the same time last year.

If you want to donate, you can here.
