Cause of fire at northwest Roanoke laundromat under investigation

ROANOKE, Va.UPDATE

Officials are investigating what caused a laundromat fire in northwest Roanoke Monday night. 

Authorities say the fire started just before 7:45 p.m. in the 1100 block of Orange Avenue.

When crews got to the scene, they say heavy smoke and flames coming from the corner of the laundromat. 

No one was hurt in the blaze, according to authorities. 

The cause of the fire is under investigation. Damages have not been determined yet.

Crews are on the scene of a fire at a laundromat in northwest Roanoke, according to authorities. 

Officials say the fire is at a laundromat near the intersection of 11th Street NW and Orange Avenue NW. 

All westbound traffic on Orange Avenue NW is closed between 10th and 11th streets, according to officials.
