Police investigating Roanoke armed robbery

No one was hurt in the incident

ROANOKE, Va. – Roanoke police are looking for a man they say robbed a Stop-In food store early Monday morning.

The robber, whose picture was captured in surveillance footage, walked into the store, in the 3600 block of Plantation Road NE, displayed a knife and demanded money about 3:08 a.m., according to police.

After an unsuccessful attempt to get into the cash register, police say the man took a stack of cigarette lighters and ran out of the store.

No one was hurt during the incident.
