Tea ceremonies take place at Washington and Lee University for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Students will serve traditional Japanese sweets and tea. There are three seatings at 1 p.m., 1:30 p.m. and 2 p.m.

The second annual CARE Rockbridge MLK Community Parade takes place today. The theme for the parade is "We March for Love." More than 700 people marched in last year's parade. Last year's parade was held on the Saturday before the holiday. Today's parade begins at 10 a.m. It begins at Randolph Street united Methodist Church.
