There is a 3-acre nonprofit in Roanoke that many know that may be the most bio-diverse sites in the world. On any given day, animals belonging to nearly 300 species call this place home.

Roanoke is home to one of the largest immigrant and refugee populations in Virginia, and local organizations are working to make sure newcomers feel welcomed and supported.

Tonight's episode, airing at 7:30 p.m., features Angels of Assisi, a Roanoke-based nonprofit pet clinic and adoption center dedicated to ensuring pets receive necessary care and homes.
