The Campbell County Sheriff’s Office announced Tuesday that it had arrested two Campbell County residents following a joint investigation with the Southern Virginia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

A man was arrested in Blacksburg for possession of child pornography on Tuesday, Blacksburg Police Department said.

An 18-year-old man has been arrested for possessing obscene material using minors, according to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office.

A man was arrested in Franklin County on Tuesday for multiple child pornography charges, Franklin County Sheriff’s Office said.

A 36-year-old Ridgeway man was taken into custody following an executed search warrant that took place on Nov. 20, according to the Henry County Sherriff’s Office.

On Wednesday, a Wytheville man pleaded guilty to 150 counts of possession of child pornography, according to a Wythe County Commonwealth’s Attorney release.

LYNCHBURG, Va. – A Lynchburg man learned his fate Wednesday after pleading guilty to 47 counts of possessing child pornography. Detective Kevin Poindexter, with the Lynchburg Police Department, traced the post to Kincaid’s home, using Kincaid’s IP address. Kincaid admitted that he posted the picture while drunk; however, he said the caption was not true and the girl was actually 19 years old, according to Harrison. After analyzing only 20% of the storage space on the devices, Poindexter found more than 5,000 images of child sexual abuse, with many showing children about 6 to 8 years old, according to Harrison. The case was prosecuted by Senior Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney Jennifer S. Bennett, while Lynchburg Public Defender Aaron Boone represented Kincaid.
