Three-vehicle crash involving school bus injures one adult

BEDFORD COUNTY (WSLS 10) - State police said a three-vehicle accident on Moneta Road involved a school bus with 18 students on-board - but no students were injured.

It happened around 4:05 p.m. at the 2200 block of Moneta Road at Wells Road.

A 46-year-old woman was reporting an injury to officers and was being transported to the hospital.

VSP said the accident did not appear to be caused by the bus driver. Another driver was charged with following too closely.

Officers said the driver rear-ended another car, knocking it into the bus. The bus was hit on its front corner.

Virginia Department of Transportation's traffic website showed a multi-vehicle accident in the area where the bus accident was reported. 511Virginia.org reported a multi-vehicle accident and one lane of closed traffic in the area of Route 122, Knollwood Drive and Oakwood Knolls Drive.
