ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. – A tractor-trailer crash caused delays on Interstate 81 on Tuesday afternoon.
VDOT reported that the north left shoulder and left lane were closed at mile marker 144.6, which is about two miles north of the Interstate 581 interchange. Both parts of the road are now open.

As of 3:15 p.m. traffic was backed up for about 4.5 miles, but it's now back to normal.
