Drying trend continues for weekend events

Slight rain chances return Sunday afternoon.

ROANOKE, Va. – We desperately need this. Our moods, and the swollen rivers across the area, will get an assist from the fact that Saturday will be the third straight day the area goes without seeing a drop of rain.

If your weekend plans take you to the Lebanese Festival at St. Elias Church, your forecast looks perfect on Saturday. A few pop-up showers or storms will be possible Sunday afternoon.

Relay for Life also takes place this weekend. It will sunny and comfortable with highs in the mid 80s. Humidity will pretty much be nonexistent. It will become slightly more humid Sunday.   

Heading to the lake? Saturday will be perfect. Keep an eye to the sky for a pop-up shower or storm Sunday.
