Food Lion Kitchen: Asian Pear Kimchi

Easy Asian Pear Kimchi


1 large Asian Pear   14- 16 ounce size   peeled, cored  and cut into about 3/4 inch chunks

2 stalks of chopped green onion

1 teaspoon of fresh lime juice

1 clove of garlic finely crushed

1 teaspoon of  ground hot pepper powder   ("hot ground pepper powder" is specifically Korean style pepper called "Gochu Garu" and can found in most Asian food marts. Cayenne pepper will not work and result in an overwhelmingly spicy dish!)¼ teaspoon of salt

Mix all ingredients in serving bowl, chill and serve as side dish with any main meal.

Keep in fridge and best if eaten within two or three days.

For personal taste, add more or less of salt and hot pepper.
