PEMBROKE, Va. – Mountain Lake Lodge is back in the national spotlight.
Misty Belles, the vice president of global PR at Virtuoso, joined TODAY Tuesday to talk about movies meant to inspire summer travel. “Dirty Dancing” was a flick featured along with “Dazed and Confused,” “In The Heights,” and more.

Belles called “Dirty Dancing” the “quintessential summer movie.”
“What you’ll want to do to have the time of your life is head to Kellerman’s, which is actually the Mountain Lake Lodge which is in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia,” Belles said.
Belles also mentioned the Lodge’s “Dirty Dancing” weekends held throughout the year, as well as Baby’s Cabins that are available for rent. Belles also mentioned the filming of the “Dirty Dancing” sequel. Belles said filming is happening for the movie there later this year.
In June 2022, Lionsgate announced that a sequel will be released on February 9, 2024.
