ROANOKE (WSLS10) Organizers said the goal of the Go Outside Festival is for people to get a chance to see what outdoor recreational activities there are in Southwest Virginia.
The event continues throughout the entire weekend and it has many activities BMX demonstrations, to a lumberjack competition.

"There's something in the outdoors they are going to love to do, from fly fishing to sitting in a pond, canoeing or kayaking or something more adventurous like downhill mountain biking or rock climbing, we just want to introduce people to things and let them learn and so they'll be engaged for a lifetime," Julia Boas said.
