MONTGOMERY CO. (WSLS 10) - A new petition is circulating in Montgomery County to recall the circuit court clerk.
The first petition started Monday night after a board of supervisors meeting. Dozens of community members voiced concerns after Erica Williams didn't reappoint at least four clerks. Organizers decided to redo the petition because of formatting concerns. The updated version started circulating Friday.

Williams released a statement Friday afternoon saying, "I made those decision only after much careful thought, quite contemplation, and regard for the needs of all citizens of Montgomery County."
The county attorney is researching the legal questions.
A civil lawyer said to remove a constitutional officer from office, it must be proven that he or she is guilty of wrongdoing according to the law.
