NEWPORT NEWS (WSLS 10) -A Virginia man who spent more than 30 years in prison for a crime he didn't commit speaks out about his life since his release.
Keith Harward was wrongly convicted of capital murder in Newport News.

With the help of the project innocence legal team, his conviction was overturned.
Now, Harward says he is trying to catch up on things he's missed out on.
"From 30- to 60- years old, that's the best years of a person's life because you get married you get kids you see your kids grow up your kids have kids you get grandkids you become somebody," Harward said.
Harward was released from the Nottoway Correctional Center on April 6, after the Virginia Supreme Court agreed that DNA evidence proves he's innocent of the 1982 killing of Jesse Perron and the rape of his wife in Newport News.
Harward is living with one of his brothers in North Carolina.He says he is enjoying the simple things in life, and spends his time taking everything in as much as possible.
"If we go in a store, me and you go in a grocery store you're... I'm like this seeing everything because it's all new to me. I'm a 60-year old newborn," Harward said.
Harward says right now he's enjoying life, eating good food and even taking long walks.
