A sick owl being nursed back to health in Mississippi is getting national attention. That's because the bird promptly greeted her caretaker with a hug when he returned to work.
Photos posted by the Wild at Heart Rescue show the employee getting a big embrace from GiGi, the great horned owl. GiGi was brought to the rescue group with head trauma after being hit by a car. The staff feared she wouldn't survive, but she is slowly getting better.
