AMHERST COUNTY, Va. – The Amherst County Sheriff's Office has arrested nine of the remaining 16 people charged as part of Operation Ice Breaker.
The operation is looking to tackle the methamphetamine problem in the region, according to Sheriff E.W. Viar Jr.
The following people have been charged as part of the operation:
Lawrence W. Humphreys Jr., 47, of Madison Heights, is charged with distribution of a Schedule I or II controlled substance
Adrian Lewis Spinner, 31, of Amherst, is charged with three counts of third or more offense of distribution of a Schedule I or II controlled substance
Layne Aaron Martin, 32, of Monroe is charged with two counts of second offense of distribution of a Schedule I or II controlled substance
Jennifer Ann Davis, 38, of Madison Heights, is charged with possession of a Schedule I or II controlled substance
Christy Lea Dearing, 40, of Madison Heights is charged with three counts of distribution of a Schedule I or II controlled substance
Marc Daniel St. Martin, 30, of Gladstone, is charged with distribution of a Schedule I or II controlled substance
Travis Scott Desmond, 26, of Lynchburg, is charged with distribution of a Schedule I or II controlled substance
Michael Christopher Riddle, 31, of Madison Heights, is charged with three counts of distribution of a Schedule I or II controlled substance
James McDonald Cash Jr., 50, of Amherst, is charged with three counts of distribution of marijuana.
In addition to those nine, 33-year-old Mary Rachel Toler, and 27-year-old Brian Adam Mitchell, both of Madison Heights, were arrested during the operation.
Toler is charged with two counts of distribution of a Schedule I or II controlled substance, being a prisoner in possession of an unlawful chemical compound, providing false information to law enforcement, identity theft and possession of marijuana.
Mitchell is charged with two counts of possession of a Schedule I or II controlled substance.
All 11 people arrested are now at the Amherst Adult Detention Center.
