Ahead of Flag Day, which is June 14, dozens of American flags are placed in the ground.

The flags cost $40 and are sponsored by local businesses.

Individuals can also pay $40 and have a flag put up to honor someone who isn't a first responder or service member.

The display is set up by the Danville Rotary and proceeds go to a scholarship fund.

The flags will remain up through July Fourth.
